Zambezi doll makers at work

                  Zambezi doll makers at work

The talk at the West Tisbury Library on Wednesday, February 22 at 4:30, will feature photographs of the doll making process, their children painting, the young people that the AACDP is sponsoring for education, and life at the Mama Bakhita Cheshire home and school.

The Zambezi Doll Cooperative has reached new heights of expertise and self-sustainability. We spent three weeks incorporating the group as a non profit, building a website where they will sell their dolls and opening a bank account at the international Barclay’s Bank in Livingstone, which was the most difficult hurdle of all, and it was all difficult.

Please join us at the Library for a slideshow illustrating what women working together can do.
